Do you feel like you're not connecting with life the way you should?

“Believe in Your Heart. Believe in your heart that you’re meant to live a life full of passion, purpose, magic and miracles.” ― Roy T. Bennett,

The New Year is underway, the Christmas festivities are all wrapped up so normality and routine are slowly but surely starting to creep in.

Is the happy and joyful you, the part of you who reconnected with your inner joy over Christmas gradually dispersing and being replaced with feelings of dread, stress, boredom, unhappiness, feeling drained.....etc

This could be due to the need to connect to your creative life, living a creative life means to live in a way that allows you to feel, express and take action with a deeper level of purpose and freedom. I believe when you follow and live to your inner creativity you connect to your core which leads to you living a more fulfilled and inspired life.

Would you say you are you a person who feels happy every day when they wake up and feels like everything is going great in life or are you a person who feels like something is missing but you can't quiet put your finger on it?

If you are the latter it is more than likely because you have yet to discover your true purpose in life. Living your life in a way that serves your purpose is extremely important if your wish is to be happy. Those who do not find their true purpose often find themselves wandering through life with no real sense of direction or reason for being here. They will also have a hard time becoming motivated and no matter what goals they accomplish, they will still feel a void deep inside their body. All of these negative effects of not finding your life’s purpose can be damaging to your emotional health and can slowly dwindle down your drive to succeed in life.

Do not feel alone if you haven't yet discovered your purpose in life because there are many people who are just like you and believe me I was there too. The reason for this is likely due to the fast pace of today’s everyday life. It seems as if there's less and less time to take for yourself from day to day. It can be easy to find yourself going to a job that you do not like and where it feels meaningless going because like everyone else, you have bills to pay.

The very first step to discovering yourself and what your purpose in life is, is to set aside some time for yourself, no matter how difficult it may be to find time. I've also attached a link to the booklet ' First steps to Finding Your Passion', which will help you take the first step. (details below).

There are a few other things that you'll need to do in order for you to discover the purpose that was given to you at birth. As mentioned before, one of the things you'll need to do is to learn how to set aside time for yourself so that you can think and not be disturbed.

You need to find somewhere quiet to free your mind of all distractions so that you can listen and communicate with your inner feelings, your gut instinct, your intuition, your heart. Keep in mind, you may not receive an answer right away and your answer may not be as obvious as you would like it to be. But pay attention and the signs and feelings will become clearer.

Another thing that you need to do, which isnt always easy but it is an integral part if you want to discover your purpose in life is to learn how to step out of your comfort zone. Many people learn to put themselves in a safe bubble in order to shield themselves from certain things in life, which is ok to a certain point but staying here will not encourage growth for you.

Putting yourself in a safe bubble forces you to fall into a routine and doesn't offer you the opportunity to venture out and discover what your purpose in life is. Living this way can eventually lead you to settling for the way life is, even if you're not content or happy. This is because it feel's more comfortable to stay in this safe place rather than venture into the unknown and discover who you truly are.

You will probably feel uncomfortable when you first venture outside and that is quite normal for people to experience, so don't worry if you have these initial feelings. Just as with anything else in life, practice will make it much easier to step away from your bubble.

Remember, even baby steps are still great progress. No one is asking for you to go out and change every element of your life in one day, in fact that would be a terrible idea. If you want to be able to discover the true purpose of your life it will take a little time but the first place to start is by leaving that bubble. Meet new people, try new things and discover who you are.

Chances are that there are many things in life that you have no idea that you would be interested in or very talented with. Ditch the safe place and begin to really live life!

If you have no idea where to start to look for your purpose, a good first step is to find your passion. The passion that excites you, that makes you jump out of bed every morning.
